Getting started
What to send an AI assistant on the first message
Do not organise anything first. Send the mess exactly as it is in your head.
By Michael Saul, founder, Saulutions
The opening message
Send everything sitting in your head, unordered, in one message. Something like: rent is late, mum's birthday is thursday, i need to move the dentist, and i have not slept properly in a week.
That is a better first message than any tidy list, because sorting it is precisely the job you are handing over.
Why not to organise first
If you tidy the list before sending, you have already done the expensive part and are just asking for storage.
The useful answer is not a formatted version of your input. It is one thing to do now, with the reason attached.
What comes back
Ari picks one item and says why that one — usually the thing with a real deadline or a cost attached rather than the thing that feels loudest.
The rest is held rather than dropped, and comes back when there is room.
