Roadmap

Future plans, active work, and shipped milestones in one clear timeline. Timing stays intentionally broad.

Roadmap timeline

  1. Voice calls, Planned

A live call mode for back-and-forth conversation, separate from voice notes and gated by safety, consent, and channel controls.

  2. Automatic commitment sync to Calendar and Todoist, Planned

Ari already reads and writes Google Calendar and Todoist when you ask. Planned: settings that let Ari mirror every new commitment automatically, ask first, or keep an item inside Ari.

  3. More app integrations, Planned

Strava, Apple Reminders, health and fitness apps, and optional location sharing are good next targets once users can choose exactly what Ari can see.

  4. More messaging channels, Planned

WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DMs, Slack, Signal, and SMS/RCS are planned once message delivery is solid across the channels Ari already supports.

  5. Talk to Ari on Alexa, In progress

Ask Ari — or Ria — a question out loud on an Echo and hear the answer spoken back, including longer answers that arrive a moment later. When Ari speaks up on your Echo, you can answer out loud and keep the conversation going. The voice bridge behind it is built; it switches on once the Alexa skills are linked to your account.

  6. More reliable messages, In progress

Replies stay consistent between web and messaging channels, while iMessage, Discord, and Telegram are getting clearer delivery status, better retries, and easier recovery when something does not send. If an outage stops Ari from answering one of your messages, Ari answers it once the service is back.

  7. A warmer look for the web app, In progress

The signed-in app is moving to Ari's warm cream and salmon look, light by default with an optional dark mode. Chat now reads like a text thread, with starter prompts when a conversation is empty. Your account now lives on one You page: how Ari reaches you, integrations, your plan, and rows to every account page. Today, Apps, Memory and Commitments now share the look too: an agenda list on phones, simpler app tiles with one actions menu, and plain words in place of jargon. A live browser session shows up as Active now on Today and in Chat.

  8. Files that stick around, In progress

Things Ari makes for you — documents, code, project files — now survive between conversations instead of vanishing when the chat ends. Ask for a file days later and it is still there. Free plans get 2 GB, paid plans get 20 GB.

  9. Sign up on the web, Done

Try Ari from the website with an email code or Google, no chat app needed. Connect iMessage, Telegram or Discord later for proactive texts on the same account with the same history. Web reminders appear when you open Ari.

  10. Ari has a face, Done

Every Ari has a look, shown at the top of the web chat. Ari starts as a cream plush creature with a coral sparkle. To change the look, ask Ari: a person, an animal, a robot, an anime character, a pixel-art fox. Ari asks a few questions, makes a picture, and you choose by replying in chat. Asking for a change (an outfit, a hat, a theme) edits the current look and keeps the same body, face and pose; each new picture is checked against the current look and redone once when the body, face or pose changed. The look moves while Ari thinks, works and makes images, and holds still if you prefer less motion. Ari keeps the look in a character sheet, so selfies from Ari match, and you can switch back to any past look for free. A picture is 1 image credit and making a picture Ari's avatar is 2 more, so a new avatar is 3; your first avatar is free.

  11. Ari's own shell on your computer, Done

For a quick command, Ari can now run it on your computer right in the chat, without starting a task. Commands run in named sessions that keep going between messages, so Ari can start a long download or a server, tell you it is running, and check on it later. Ari answers a prompt or stops a process from the same session, and can list or close sessions (up to eight). Anything that needs working out, with steps that depend on each other, still goes to a computer task, and a task can look at the same sessions.

  12. Watch Ari work, Done

While Ari works on something in the background, one Working on card in the web chat and at the top of Library → Files lists every job: a computer task, a browser task, research, or work in your apps. Each row shows the job, how long it has been going, the newest step as it happens, and a Stop button; a browser row opens to the live browser. Stop a computer task and it pauses, your files stay as they are, undo stays available, and Ari can pick it back up; stop research or other work and Ari says what got done. On Telegram and Discord the same job shows as one message that updates in place as steps arrive, with Stop and Open buttons, and turns into the result when the job ends. On iMessage you get the start message and the final result. Ari also tells you up front how long a computer task usually takes, based on how long recent tasks like it took.

  13. PDFs, Office files and media on the computer, Done

Ari's computer knows how to handle your files. Fill in a PDF form, sign it with a picture of your signature, merge, split, rotate or shrink PDFs, and pull the text out of a scan. Make or edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. Convert, resize, crop, trim and compress photos and videos, make a GIF, or pull out the audio. Build a mini app, or research a question in depth with every claim checked and a cited answer file. Your originals are never overwritten.

  14. Answer Ari with one tap, Done

When Ari asks you something with a few clear answers, the answers come as buttons: tap one in Telegram or Discord, tap a chip under the message in web chat, or reply with its number in iMessage. Approvals work the same way: let Ari's computer use a saved key (allow once, always, or deny), approve or deny a purchase in the browser, or open the live browser and stop a task, right from the chat. In Telegram and Discord, a browser approval or a moment the browser needs you comes with a picture of the page as it is right now, with passwords, verification codes and card numbers covered. Only your own chat app, connected for at least a week or since you signed up, can answer, and each question answers once. Answer in one place and the buttons disappear everywhere else the question went, and a reminder about a waiting browser task comes as the same question again, buttons included.

  15. Link previews for every Ari link, Done

Every link Ari texts you unfurls as its own Ari card in iMessage, Telegram and Discord: checkout, your live browser, your account, saved logins, Today, the Library, apps Ari built, invites and more. A preview only ever shows what kind of link it is, never your name, amounts, passwords or what is on the page, and opening a preview never uses up the link. In Telegram, Ari's own links show their card and other links stay plain.

  16. Delete photos and videos for good, Done

Library → Media lists the photos and videos you sent and the images Ari made since the computer arrived. Delete any of them after one confirm and it is gone for good: from your Library and from your chat history, where it shows as Photo deleted, and Ari can no longer open or send it. Ari's earlier replies about it stay in the chat. A copy in your computer's Files moves to Trash. Copies already delivered to iMessage, Telegram or Discord stay in those apps.

  17. Ari's own computer, Done

A private cloud computer for you and Ari, with files, a browser, and room for bigger jobs. Watch Ari work anytime, and stop a task anytime. The Library shows your apps, your files, and your photos and videos, including images Ari made: open, download, upload, rename or delete a file, pick any file back up in chat, and restore deleted files from Trash for 30 days. Set up your computer from Files, by uploading a file, or by asking Ari to use it; the first setup takes about a minute.

  18. One Passwords page for your logins and keys, Done

Your website logins and your keys (API keys, tokens) live on one Passwords page under You, encrypted in your private vault. Add, edit or remove either kind there; a saved value stays hidden until you press Show and enter a code Ari texts you, and then shows for 30 seconds. Ari's browser fills a login only on its own site, and Ari's computer uses a key with a program only after you allow it: allow once, always, or deny, and revoke any permission later on the same page. When a task needs a login or key you have not saved, Ari sends a link that opens the page with it already filled in, so you never paste one in chat. Ask Ari to show you a saved password and Ari sends a link that shows it to you once, signed in, for 10 minutes, without Ari ever seeing it. Sign in yourself in the live view and Ari offers to save that login for next time.

  19. More room on the free plan, Done

Your first day with Ari has no cutoff after the upgrade offer: chat freely, up to 60 messages that day. After your premium messages run out, reminders keep firing for your first 5 commitments, up from 2.

  20. Ari notices things and reaches out first, Done

When you have been chatting with Ari, Ari sometimes messages first: a check-in, a win worth noticing, or something that fits the time of day you usually do it. Right before reaching out, Ari takes a fresh look at your recent messages from a different angle each time, so the first message is about something that matters right now. You can also ask Ari directly whether Ari has noticed anything about your sleep, routines, or plans. The rhythm varies on purpose and slows down if messages go unanswered. After about two weeks of quiet, Ari sends one note that the door is open, then waits for you. When the moment is wrong, Ari waits a couple of hours instead of skipping the day.

  21. Interactive browser, Done

Ari can now drive a real browser for you: log into sites, fill forms, click through multi-step flows, and grab screenshots or downloads. Your logins stay in your private vault — Ari fills them without ever seeing the values. Verification codes get filled the same way, straight from your email. A code that comes to your phone: text it back to Ari, or tap Fill in the live view's code box, where your phone offers the SMS code above the keyboard; Ari enters it in the page without ever seeing it. When a CAPTCHA appears, Ari follows your per-site preference: Ari tries the checkbox, hands it to you in the live view, or asks each time. Watch live right in the chat with an embedded viewport, expand to fullscreen to take over control yourself, and approve sensitive fills with a tap — on iMessage, Discord, and Telegram, Ari texts a tap-to-watch link to the live view. That link opens only that browser, once, on one device; it never signs anyone in to your account, and signing in gives you everything else. Ari never fills a saved password into a form that would send it to a different site. Zoom the live view up to 400% to read and click small text — pinch on a phone or trackpad, the zoom buttons, or Ctrl/Cmd plus and minus — and on a phone tap a box on the page to type into it with your phone's own keyboard. While you have control, one tap on “Fill my saved password” signs you in with the login saved for that site. Approving a sign-in once covers the rest of that sign-in, each moment Ari needs you comes as one question with one link, and the same question comes again with a fresh link if you have not answered. When Ari needs you to log in or prove you are human, the live view says exactly what to do and one tap on “Give back to Ari” hands the browser back. The live view is one simple dark sheet: a title saying what is happening and where (Ari browsing, needs you, waiting for a free browser, reconnecting, signed out), the live page, and two big buttons — Stop task and Take control; history, tabs and the rest sit behind one History button. On a phone, when it is your turn to log in or take control, the page turns phone-shaped and fills your screen, and it stays that way while you watch — approving or handing back to Ari never flips it, and opening your keyboard keeps the page the same size and slides the box you are typing in into view above the keyboard; while you have control, a long-press is a right-click, and the keyboard button brings up your phone's keyboard to type into the page. While you have control, every tap and key reaches the page the moment you make it, a ring marks a tap still on its way, a tap made just before the page changed is skipped instead of landing on the new page, and your own taps and typing never count toward the daily browser allowance. On desktop, dock the live view beside the chat and keep talking while Ari works. The live view has tabs: pop-ups and sign-in windows open as tabs you can switch between and close, and things a page pops up show right in the view — a site's question or alert, a dropdown, a file picker for a file from your device, or a site sign-in. Before Ari buys, sends or submits anything, you confirm it first — the confirmation shows the exact amount and recipient, and if either changes Ari asks again — and an activity list shows every step, including files saved to your workspace. When Ari finishes, the browser stays open and yours to keep using (finish a checkout, keep browsing) until you close it (a browser nobody is using sleeps and reopens where you left it, tabs included), and the live view shows in your web chat whichever channel started the task. Ask to see it and Ari texts you a fresh screenshot of what the browser shows right now on any channel, and Ari can pick an ended task back up in the same browser session. Photos you send in chat can go straight into a site's upload box, with your OK first. If the browser goes quiet for a few minutes, Ari tells you and retries instead of leaving you waiting. The browser blocks known ad and tracker requests and turns down cookie banners on its own, so pages load faster and the view stays clear. A server update waits for a browser task you are using, and a task an update interrupts picks up by itself on the same page, signed in, with the link you already have; while you have control Ari stays paused and quiet, and a task you check on is never started over. Ari starts at your own sign-in address for a site when you have a login saved for it. Ari reads a page that needs JavaScript without starting a live browser at all, and during a task Ari searches the whole page for the control it needs and fills a whole form in one step. On a page made of pictures, like a game, a chart or a canvas, Ari looks at the screen itself, with passwords, codes and every form field covered before a picture is read. A new way of reading pages, the same engine Playwright's own agent tools use, now runs beside every live browser step and takes over once it proves itself.

  22. Skills you can install, Done

Teach Ari anything. Add ready-made expertise for writing, marketing, SEO, productivity and more — or write your own — and Ari uses it whenever it matters. Pause skills you're not using and bring them back anytime. Refresh an installed skill to its latest version when upstream publishes an update.

  23. Your own computer skills, Done

Add a skill with scripts that runs on your Ari Computer, from a GitHub link or a zip file. Each one is reviewed for safety first, then waits for your approval of the exact files you saw. Change a skill and it needs approving again. You can revoke one anytime.

  24. Mini-apps and custom sites, Done

Ask Ari to build you a little app from chat — a tracker, log, dashboard, or portfolio — with real records you can open and edit. Hand it your own material to build from: a file you upload, a public page, or a public GitHub repo. Any change afterward — the look, new fields, what it shows — is one ask away, and your records always survive edits. With your OK, an app can also show a bit of your own commitments, read your habit entries and log new ones (a running dashboard on your real runs), and generate images on demand, and you can publish it as your own public site once nothing personal stays connected. Each app lives at its own address, like app-name--yourname.textari.site, so one app can never reach another app's data; older links still open the right app. Apps can also open and save files on your Ari Computer, for example a PDF signer: you approve it once, pick a file from Files, and the signed copy lands in the app's own Files folder where Ari can send it. Apps now wear the same warm cream and salmon look as the rest of Ari, in light and dark: an app follows the light or dark mode you picked in Ari, or your phone's setting when opened on its own, and app dashboards can show line, bar and streak charts, each with its numbers in plain text.

  25. Say how long you want replies, and it stays that way, Done

Tell Ari you want longer, fuller replies — or shorter, tighter ones — and that preference is saved to your account instead of wearing off after a few turns. The new length applies from your next message on, in chat and texting alike (spoken replies stay short by design). Say the word any time to change it or put it back to normal.

  26. Ari knows your whole story, Done

Ari keeps a running sense of your history together — how things started, what you moved through, and where you stand now — so a conversation months later picks up from who you are today instead of starting from scratch. Ongoing stories and scenes keep their thread too.

  27. A memory graph you can see, Done

Your whole memory is a living graph you can explore, search, and correct — every fact traceable back to the message it came from, so you never have to tell Ari the same thing twice.

  28. Unified commitments, Done

Tasks, events, projects, habits, one-shot reminders, recurring notifications, and important dates now share one Commitments surface with Inbox, Today, Upcoming, Projects, completed work, and calendar-style planning.

  29. Proactive reminders and check-ins, Done

Ari can text first for one-off reminders, recurring notifications, habit check-ins, appointment nudges, and follow-ups. Each one fits the moment: a lighter line when you have been quiet for a while, support first after a hard day, and a later time when you are asleep or busy. A habit you have stopped logging gets one question: keep it, pause it, or change it. Change a date, a time or how often from anywhere, and every reminder follows the change. A time you picked fires at that time, early mornings included, and when you travel, daily reminders move to your new time zone.

  30. Habits and streaks, Done

Ari sets up a habit the moment you ask for one or mention a routine you keep, then checks in like a friend who knows your week instead of an alarm clock. Ari logs done, missed, or a rest day, tracks current and best streaks, and helps notice what is working. A habit can track numbers too: miles and minutes for a run, pounds for weight, pages for reading. Say "ran 3.7 miles in 41 minutes" and Ari logs it and tells you the week so far; the Today page shows each habit's trend and a quick entry form. On web, Telegram and Discord, check-ins carry Done, Missed and Snooze buttons and "Today's habits" is one tap away: a card with a button per habit and its streak.

  31. Memory and personalization, Done

Ari remembers goals, preferences, people, routines, deadlines, birthdays, appointments, and current projects, with controls to inspect or correct memory.

  32. Personal style and voice, Done

You can change Ari's name, tone, pushiness, boundaries, personality, communication style, and voice.

  33. Voice notes, Done

Ari can understand voice notes and reply with configurable voice notes when speaking is easier than typing.

  34. Iterative editing of generated images, Done

Ask Ari to change the image Ari just made — tweak a detail, restyle, regenerate with a fix — and the edit builds on the previous output instead of starting from scratch.

  35. Image generation and editing, Done

Ari can generate images, edit images, work from screenshots and photos, and turn generated or edited images into useful next steps.

  36. Video generation, Done

Ask Ari for a short video — described in words, or made by animating one of your photos — and the clip arrives right in the conversation.

  37. Files, screenshots, and documents, Done

Ari can read screenshots, photos, PDFs, docs, forms, homework, notes, and messy files, then summarize and pull action items.

  38. Search and research, Done

Ari can search the web, compare options, read pages and reports, and find images.

  39. iCloud Calendar and calendar feed links, Done

Ari can read your Apple Calendar through an app-specific password, or any calendar feed link such as an Outlook published calendar. Read-only, stored encrypted, and you can disconnect any time.

  40. Google, Todoist, and Notion integrations, Done

Ari can connect with Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Tasks, Todoist, and Notion so useful context can move between chat and the tools people already use.

  41. Planning and follow-through, Done

Ari can turn vague goals into concrete next steps for studying, sleep, gym, projects, office hours, exams, and life admin.

  42. Messaging and group chats, Done

Ari can be paired across iMessage, Telegram, and Discord, with secure one-tap Telegram and Discord connection links plus shared threads for planning, reminders, decisions, and research.

  43. Invite friends, Done

Give a week, get a week. Every account has a personal invite link under You. When a friend joins with it and chats with Ari on two different days, you both get a free week of Premium. Free accounts run the weeks back to back; subscribers get the value as credit on their next bill.

  44. Account and memory controls, Done

You can ask Ari what Ari knows, correct memory, forget things, pause check-ins, and change how Ari talks or uses connected tools.

  45. Core Ari experience, Done

Ari started with core chat, memory, proactive check-ins, reminders, and web sessions that keep the conversation available when you come back.
