How to change or stop reminders

You control what Ari sends. Change one reminder, stop a habit, or pause every check-in with a message in your chat. You can also manage reminders from your account. Nothing needs a form or an email.

Steps

  1. 1. Find the reminder

Ask Ari "what reminders do I have?" or open the Commitments page in your signed-in account at textari.chat.

  2. 2. Say what you want changed

For example: "move the plumber reminder to 6pm," "make the Sunday reminder every second Sunday," or "cancel the plumber reminder." Ari confirms the change.

  3. 3. Stop a habit or check-in

Say "pause my walking habit" or "stop checking in about the gym." Ari stops that check-in. Ask Ari to set the habit up again whenever you want it back.

  4. 4. Stop all check-ins

Tell Ari to stop contacting you, for example "stop the check-ins." Ari stops reaching out and replies only when you write. Tell Ari to start again whenever you want them back.

  5. 5. Set defaults for new reminders

Open You, then Reminders, in your account. That page sets when Ari reminds you about deadlines, events, and scheduled blocks.

Change the time of day Ari reaches you

Tell Ari your waking hours and bedtime, or hours to avoid, such as "no messages before 9." Ari takes them into account when planning check-ins. See how reminders and habits work for the full picture.

Delete what Ari remembers

Reminders and memory are separate. You can see what Ari remembers and correct or delete any of it. To remove your data entirely, email [email protected] and ask for a copy or deletion.
